If your Apple Pencil stops working but is still showing as connected under Bluetooth, it is probably an oh-so-slightly-as-you-wouldn't-notice loose nib. Tighten it and try again. I just had that happen. It was fine this morning and just stopped. I powered off/on etc before searching this simple...

Jackpot Tony! Thank you. No commentators (MacWorld etc) mention that. I've left Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions Off now, assuming that SDP keeps my phone safe. My bet is that many owners are frustrated by the lack of SDP, not knowing this, and Apple doesn't mention it. Thanks...

Now who would have guessed it? Re-setting of location has solved the problem – at last. Thanks James. Indeed, it's a bit of pain as EVERYTHING is asking for permission again, but at least the watch shows what it should again.

Fixed - Unlock Mac with Watch stopped working

I press <esc> and try again. It usually works or maybe a couple more. Maybe it is because the iMac has Ethernet as preferred connection and wifi as backup. I prefer wires where possible. I have switches here, there and most places.

Reminders: What Am I Missing

Reminders is a great app, I use it all the time and have several lists for various. One shared with the family as a shopping list, so we can all add to it during the week. A little bit of a pain when stuff gets added when I'm half way around the shop

Where are folders in iCloud?

I don't use Notes, but isn't the Files.app a good place to keep your timetables? I use the wonderful Documents.app (by Readdle) for this kind of thing - as well as other purposes. All of Readdles's apps are "best-in-class" in my opinion - and not just mine. Unfortunately, when you elect...

Why will my iPhone XR not install O.S. 16.5.1?

My ex had an iPad that would not update. I connected it to my iMac by wire (as Gail suggested above) and ran the update from Finder (or use iTunes if you are on an older macOS). That's a third suggestion if the others don't work.

Prevent phone syncing Photos to iCloud

I can always delete it from iCloud but it will still be on my phone. MacBiter, As you've probably discovered by now, the design of the iCloud Backup is to ensure that all one's Apple gadgets hold identical info. If you delete anything from iCloud, it will be deleted from everything else. It will...

When I first double-clicked on the .HEIC file, I was informed that I didn't have an app that could open it. Now that I've introduced Preview to such files, they've become friends.

I know this thread is nearly five years old but it does mention My Photo Stream and that some people use it. For those who care and need to know but do not yet, My Photo Stream is being discontinued on July 26th. Other links are available. There are some other older threads here too.

Is that what LG stands for? You learn something new... Well, well, so do I... :D LG LED telly, but it's now about four years old, and an LG monitor for the MacMini. The monitor lost one of its tubes soon after a few weeks. No problem (well, not too serious ;) ) - LG sent a courier with packaging...

Of the two, my favorite is also the second one. It surprises me that Apple can include such a plain-vanilla flashlight, when other flashlights include very useful features.
