Langoustines. Caught in Britain, not thrown away, but almost 100% exported to Europe. Very tasty too! Good petition. Getting more choice into Fish and Chip shops and supermarkets is good.

Mines ok, it's approx. 80cm long, and with my chair it's just the right height. I was thinking about butchering it when I make mine as it's been just right. Plus I like the fact it gives me a bit of distance from the monitor (well, a little more anyway....).

But the price of electronic books are too high, just like most of the music on iTunes. I was looking at an album the other day which was consisted of 5 tracks costing 99p each and 1 track which was 'album only'. Thinking that the 'album only' track would cost 99p also, 6 x 99p = £5.95. The album...

Recommend a coffee machine?

Personally, I'd also steer clear of pod machines and get a proper machine machine like this . We were given this exact machine for Christmas from my parents and we are very happy with it. It works very well and comes with 3 inserts for the filter handle for single espresso, double espresso and ESE...

MCS, Let me speak in BD's defence here - I've known him a long time and, whilst some of the stuff he posts maybe a little the wrong side of good taste, he's NOT in any way, shape or for, racist, sexist, ageist - or anything else 'ist' for that matter! He can just be a big eejit, sometimes... Ain't...

Can anyone tell me what black pearls and rubies smell like?

Well, if I was to use my imagination ... taking of his bald hat and replacing it with the one with a 5 watt bulb ... Black Pearl would smell like dark rum and sea salt and Ruby would smell like fine old port. But that is just me.

A lot of the Apple stores seem to be very impressive. I think the Regent Street (London) store is grand and have now changed my mind about the Covent Garden store, which I initially did not like. Still think the glass staircase is scary though. There's a glass staircase in the L1 store, too...

Just been through his Greatest hits album 'Right down the line'. One of my favs, but I can't really pick an individual track as they are all great. Some are really haunting... like 'The Right Moment' R.I.P. Gerry.

 Yeah, maybe that's it! My Mum's family is all from the Wirral peninsula, and that does have a micro-dialect all of its own. A lot of the original inhabitants lived in Viking settlements (there's lots of place names ending in -by for instance eg West Kirby, Helsby, Irby etc) so maybe that's...

Sarah, give your Dad the link to this thread. What does your Mum say? I do hope you get things square again with your folks, you should stand your ground and expect respect, and that's a two-way street. Respect is earned. Good luck.

I have had the same letter about the handbrake recall but have decided to get it done in the new year. I don't like car dealers and would never normally take my car anywhere near them. This post just confirms what a waste of space these people are.
