The option to choose the door should never have been offered. Camoron* only said he would have a referendum as a sop to parts of the Tory party. He was an idiot. *very deliberate spelling. I think a git rather than an idiot. He has taken the money and ran. So much for us all being in it together....

The screen was not a touch screen. The hinge was a marvel of engineering. The angle (on this "Angle Poise" machine) remained the same as one adjusted the height. Whatever.

The intended outcome behind this Bill is not lost as such. The Ministry of Justice have an alternative in the form of an amendment to the Policing and Crimes Bill, which was announced last Thursday. This isn't me excusing anything. I'm just posting the link in case the reason for defeat was missed....

Raspberry Pi & RetroPie: anyone using?
First post

Thanks very much for that info. Retropie was the software that piqued my interest in the first place. I've seen a lot about the Raspberry Pi, and it has always intrigued me but I've never had a real reason to investigate it. My love of retro gaming sadly carries a hefty price tag, with some SNES...

Okay thanks, I see that for 5 pounds a month you can have 125 minutes or for 7.50 a month 250 or 500 minutes depending on the deal. Thanks again.

Ah well, worth a shot The paint blur looked like some kind of logo had been painted in where the centre circle now is. The white lines must be easier to sort.

Ta, hadn't noticed where this one was (I'm mainly using Tapatalk these days). Is that an interesting range of small Spanish chats for you to choose from? No, that would be tapastalk  Don't you just love it when people explain your own jokes to you...

Thanks MacOS10, we find being able to record two programmes whilst watching a third useful. Although our TV tastes overlap reasonable well, there's a lot of stuff on BBC 4 and Channel 4 that I record as OH isn't interested. And when Bake Off becomes commercial I can miss the adverts! Leewave, as...

So what's happening in your area this weekend?

Even on Couch I don't think a topic has veered so far :off: so quickly... :D To redefine the original question, what's happening in your area that the general public might be interested to know about? Events to go to - that kind of thing... Of course, this is not to belittle in any way whatsoever...

Been reading Bill Bryson's The Road to Little Dribbling . Although born in the US city of Des Moines, he has lived here for years and took British citizenship, which is good enough for me :) Quite thoughtful about the changes over the decades since Notes from a Small Island . Very reasonably, he...

This might give you an insight . I have used conditional formatting in the past but unless you use it a lot it's hard to get your head around it, a reasonable understanding of maths is a help along with logic.

There's a lot you can do to make it work. Buy British manufactured stuff (I know theres not a lot left getting manufactured in the UK). Id go as far as to stop buying stuff from EU countries. That way they will see a massive drop in their export and lobby their respective governments to strike a...

Thanks for posting that Highmac. Our local paper (very small) has a couple of journalists and virtually everything is done by sitting in their office. Getting paid advertisers seems to be their main job.
