A website I was working on suggested to me that I was working with an old version of Safari (10.1.2). A Google search suggests that the current version is 11.0 but it doesn't show in my Updates. I'm running O.S. 10.12.6.

Who's right?

Version 11.0 (13604.1.38.1.6) as far as I know. I'm on HS and had the supplemental update.

Thanks. If it's not available in the App Store I wonder where I find it?

As always, Tony comes up with the solution. Very many thanks. (I wonder how many others are not yet on v.11?).

Thanks again,

Lorimer

I got it by default with HS. "Safari 11.0 ships with iOS 11.0 and macOS 10.13. It is also available in macOS 10.12.6 and 10.11.6."

Quote source - https://developer.apple.com/library/content/releasenotes/General/WhatsNewInSafari/Safari_11_0/Safari_11_0.html

But yeah, you should be able to get it as specified.

Just after I posted that, I did a check for updates and was offered mac OS 10.13.1, which I took. That boosted Safari to Version 11.0.1 (13604.3.5). Just sayin'.

Also available on macOS 10.12.6 along side a security update.

So I got it automatically with iOS 11? (I haven't yet worked out how you find version numbers with iOS or even how to do Get Info).

If you are running the latest version of iOS, you will have the latest version of Safari.

Understood - I just didn't know if Safari was exactly the same app in MacOS and iOS.

I think the version numbers usually match between OS.

I haven't updated to HS yet but from your post loughor am I right in thinking its on 10.13.1 now?
Edit, just checked my Safari version and it's 11.0.1 I'm still running Sierra 10.12.6.
