Hi all

Tapatalk are become more onerous in their requirements, so I will not be updating the plugin for Tapatalk going forward. This means support for it will stop in about a week of this post.

Let me know if you would like a mobile version, I will look into changing the software/theme to one that is responsive to screen size. This would of course involve a complete change of the look for everyone and major work for me (which I can do without), but if it needs doing, it needs doing...

Totally understand your frustration with Tapatalk, I’ve stopped using it myself as since the last few updates it’s now littered with advertisements in amongst the posts, despite me having bought the paid for edition. Not impressed with that to be honest!

Would be good if it could be made easier to use on the iOS Safari, the main annoyance is that pop up panel that appears if you hit the back button to go back to the category list page fin each forum. Is there a way to turn that off as it covers up other posts meaning you have to reload the page to click into another post?

Here’s an example - sorry, couldn’t embed this image...

(The only way of accessing posts further down, behind the pop up panel, is to reload the page which is pretty annoying)

Thanks for letting us know, I can finally remove Tapatalk!

I have never used Tapatalk on any forum or mobile platform so I wouldn't notice.

Steve think you need to turn off "display topic previews" in the user control panel/board prefs/edit display options.

Ah, brilliant! That’s been annoying me for years, if only I knew! Thanks Tony!

Ditto!

James, I'll go with whichever decision you think is best. I do use the Tapatalk app, but I find it badly designed and crammed full of unnecessary features.

I stopped using Tapatalk ages ago. Most forums I visit use a responsive theme so I was finding it was needed less and less.
