Now I have my email back on line, I cannot find anyway to use Apple mail or Thunderbird.

It is so frustrating, all the settings are correct but neither system will accept my password

Any clues ? I found all sorts of stuff on the net from Apple and Thunderbird but to no avail.

Before you start using any email programs, just use BT webmail to make sure you're trying the RIGHT password:

https://www.bt.com/btmail

If you can't get in there, sort that first, before trying email programs.

It sounds like your password has been changed - by someone else, of course.

It is quite likely, in my experience, that like many others, your BT email password has been changed without you realising it - and even your security questions may have new answers (as you will find when you try and change your BT email password) - all thanks to the hackers who have infiltrated your email. If so, it may need another call to BT to sort out.

My password has been changed by BT over the last week and a half !

The one I have now logs me into BTwebmail but neither of the host sites
