This any good to you? Courtesy of the Google Translate extension from sidetree.com running in Safari Version 7.0.5. It looks a lot better as a webpage where all the formatting and layout is retained, via plain text you lose all that. This is both pages of that thread pasted into a plain text TextEdit document, then copied and pasted here. However, the quality of translation may not be the best! Here's an example: Quote: Hello Sirny!
A concrete solution way I can not offer an ad hoc basis, but it should not be possibly be counseling Update proposals, you want to operate your computer permanently in WLAN. This can come here like a lost time. As also Compressor / Final Cut users Your question is not unjustified in any case.
I could've posted a copy of the translated webpage in Web Archive format instead, but that would have been a large document to host (4.6MB each page) - anyway you can pick through the text here to see the content, or just install the extension yourself. Translated to: English

Light indicating which iMac is still running 145 Views Previous 1 2 Next 18 Replies Latest reply: Aug 16, 2015 1:18 PM by BDAqua
Level 1 (0 points) Sirny Jul 29, 2015 8:08 AM Hello currently there with us a workaround with our iMac computers (Final Cut, Compressor), we provide a staff from which our computers when they crashed on the power switch off and switch on again. There are several computers I have a question. Is there a device from Apple that displays with a lamp which iMac is still running? This could then find the crashed computer easier colleague. Many thanks
I have this question too Show 1 Like (1)

I've never heard of such a thing - perhaps by another company. Have you tried to search the internet for something?
Instead, I would "crash" the problem with the research - a computer should not crash permanently normally. If the problem happens only with Final Cut or Compressor, I suggest that you explain in the forum your problem / operation / which brings to crash the computer exactly - maybe you can help you with it.

Of which I've also never heard. However, the approach to the lights in my eyes would be a nice idea!
Until these are available on the market, you can try using the 'Restart automatically if the computer freezes'- setting it yes again. Maybe that will work out.
I hope this helps you ever further.
Best regards

Hello Einoel,
thanks for the tip, unfortunately, has only the server this function (automatic restart), but something like this would already help.
Kind regards

Hello Babowa,
Unfortunately, we have tried everything. Luckily the Compressor expects mostly further, after the computer is restarted, because there are some batch processes that can take several days. And when the FC projects are saved so you can render the restart (the nerves just a little).
What annoys is only for lost time when a computer is frozen.
With us, the Mac always gets only one task, so normally no more sitting in front of the computer the freezing mitbekommt.
Thanks for your notes

Freezing is not normal, that works with your computer, the OS, or the operation something is not as it should. But since you do not seem keen to find a solution that can help here bad, especially, for example, which models (computer), how much RAM, how much space on the disk and the exact operation. iMacs are by the way devices Consumer - if you need something more robust and more stable, you might consider the Mac Pros.

It sounds as would let the iMacs run with intensive tasks for hours? Possibly editing / rendering in FC Pro and / or Compressor? Without knowing more, I possibly would tap it.
I think you would get a better answer either in Compressor or FC Pro forum - there are both, please tell me which forum you prefer (most problems with Compressor or FC Pro?) And I would ask the moderators the re embarrassed .. ..

Wo ist Ramps?
--- German is one of the official languages of Belgium, but only spoken by a small community in the east region, bordering on Germany. I had German lessons at school, but that was far too long ago.
