I have an Apple Bluetooth keyboard. I've been using it with both of my Minis. It connects to one. I finish with that Mini, go to the other and it connects to that. Immediately. Back and forth, and it connects to each one straight away.
I've now replaced the Intel Mini with my old White MacBook running 10.8.4.
I set up the MacBook to connect to the keyboard, which it does. If I now go to the remaining Mini(PPC) it doesn't connect. I have to go through Sys Prefs>Bluetooth and do the whole pairing procedure. It connects.
If I go back to the MacBook, it doesn't connect. I have to go through Sys Prefs>Bluetooth and do the whole pairing procedure. It connects.
And so on....
It's also the same with my Bluetooth mouse.
Any ideas why the change with the use of the MacBook?
