I'm sometimes perplexed by scrolling in this application.

I use a trackpad on my MBP and normally I can scroll a week at a time when the display is set monthly.

This afternoon I looked at it and I couldn't scroll. I restarted the application, it didn't make any difference - it wouldn't scroll. I looked at the Calendar preferences and the View menu but I couldn't find scrolling settings.

Other applications scroll, such as Safari. A couple of hours later after having put new batteries in the trackpad (it warned me they were low at 15%) it suddenly scrolls again!

But it still doesn't scroll using the scrollwheel on a mouse.

I like to scroll. It's a pain if it doesn't. Even if it's working again now, (why was it broken?), why doesn't it work with the scrollwheel on the mouse? Safari does. Numbers does. Is there a setting I have missed somewhere?

Mavericks 10.9.5, Calendar Version 7.0 (1841.1)

On my Mac, from Yosemite to HS, Calendar has never scrolled with a mouse wheel. It will using a touchpad, Magic or otherwise, and stroking the Magic Mouse (not a euphemism). I looked into it and it apparently just does not. My mouse is a Steelseries Rival 700 with it's app. It wouldn't with any of my Logitechs for all their drivers and apps either. No help, I know. If someone comes up with a fix, that would be great.

I've just checked in my calendar and using my Logitech wired mouse, I can scroll in Day and Week view, but not Month or Year. I can scroll in all views using my trackpad on my 11" MBA.

I've always accepted this anomaly but it is odd and of course, it would be much better to be able to scroll in all views.

I can scroll through days, weeks, months and years - I'm using a standalone Apple Trackpad with JiTouch.

I use a Magic Mouse.

In Day view...
Swiping left or right changes the days. Scrolling up or down scrolls through the times in that day.

In Week view...
Swiping left or right changes the week. Scrolling up or down scrolls through the times in that week.

In Month view...
Swiping left or right does nothing. Scrolling up or down scrolls through the months.

In Year view...
Swiping left or right does nothing. Scrolling up or down scrolls through the years.
