 Post subject: Tables in Pages

I’ve created a table in Pages (on my Mac) using one of the templates. I’ve tabbed down the cells to create extra rows but when the table reaches the bottom of the page the app does not automatically create page 2. The table runs off the page and I can’t do anything in the cells. I don’t seem to be able to create a page or section break or find a way to make page 2 appear.

If I cut and paste the table into Word then Word, as expected, automatically creates the second page and the cells can be worked on as normal.

Anybody know what I’m doing wrong?

Not sure about "tabbing down", but I use the small symbol at the bottom left of the table to either enter the number of rows, or use the Up/Down buttons. The table flows onto the next page.

Sounds like you are using page layout rather than word processing.

Using the symbol on the bottom left worked on a new table in a new document, thanks. I hadn’t noticed that. The original still wouldn’t flow onto the second page even using the symbol so I deleted the document and started again. All is well now
