Hello,

Something very odd this morning. Whenever I connect my iPad Pro to a USB cable and into the front of my Mac Pro (mid 2010 version, 10.13.1), the single click on my Magic Trackpad stops working. The track pad is not wired in but bluetooth, battery charge is fine. Weirdly I can right click (2 finger press) but not select anything in any software, in desktop, etc. with a single click. Tried a cheap bluetooth mouse and that has exactly the same problem. Disengage the iPad from the cable and the MacPro and all returns to normal.

I am perplexed! Any one have any ideas please?

Thank you.

Simon

USB 3 (if your 2010 model has it), interferes with Bluetooth. They work on the same frequency.
Could be related.

So sorry, I have only just seen this. USB 3 is not fitted to this machine - would it be 2.2? Anyhow, the problem appeared, somehow, related to OSX 10.3.2 update happening in the background. To be honest, I was also having issues with accessing some drives too. Seems all ok now it has installed...!

Thank you for your input.
