I have applied stop and delete rules to a certain email address offering Russian women to meet (aren't I the lucky one) but I keep getting email from it. Sometimes (not always) I am able to select "apply rules" and it disappears but lately it doesn't. These emails are always redirected into my spam folder and I know that it is easy to just hit delete but why can't my rules stop it. I thought Mail would have learnt from this by now. Obviously I am not hitting the unsubscribe button. Any advice?

Report the spam to your email provider. If it is an Apple (iCloud) address then follow these instructions:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203524
If it is another one, like your ISP, then they have their own procedures, as does Google.
