Going on a camping trip in late August (in the UK!) - can anyone recommend a solar charger for my iPhone? There are loads on eBay but wondered if anyone here had actually had any experience with them?
Thanks.

I didn't know that there was sun in the UK. I think that MacFormat magazine has reviewed one or two.

Considering the summer we're having, I'd have thought a waterproof cover would have been more appropriate!!

It may be worth rigging up something with a battery and a bicycle to recharge the iPhone the way this summer is going.

If the camping trip is (partly) a car-camping trip, perhaps consider a car charger. Or a very long extension cord. Or "getting away from it all" - and leaving the phone behind.

Some car 12v outlets only give power when the ignition is turned on, PITA if you need to charge something.

My suggestion: cancel the trip. It's not gonna work.
