My wife is having problems receiving email in Mail on her iPhone. She has not been able to receive any since May!
She is constantly getting a message stating that her password is not recognised and when she types it in it just repeats the process.
She gets the same message on her iPad but at least it lets her receive the emails!
I have no idea what happens on our iMac as she rarely uses it.
1) Any fixes?
2) How easy is it to change her password so that if she's made a mistake with it she can enter a new one?

Hi - what mail account is she using? If it's hotmail then I get similar issues. I changed my account from hotmail to google when i got my iPhone due to this because on the whole, hotmail accounts aren't very compatible with Mac equipment. If it's not hotmail then have you gone into Setting > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and against the Account in question made sure all of the details are ok against Incoming & Outcoming mail server etc

Hi. I sometimes get this when I have both the mac and iPhone running. If the mac is doing a mail get then the iPhone will reject the password as the account is locked by the mac.
But I normally only have to force a mail get a few minutes later and all is well again - so this may not be your issue!

Apple Mail is the app, but who is the mail service provider, which ISP? It's very likely that the issue is too many devices accessing the one mailbox all at one time.
How often does the Mac account retrieve email and is the iPhone/iPad set for push or schedule?
