You will find your use for the Watch. Everyone uses it in different ways.
I've found that I can use it when refereeing for timing matches but it also monitors my activity during the match by measuring heartbeat, calorie burn etc.

Hi, watch wearers. I see that the Sport Band includes strap that can be configured for either S/M or M/L length. How does that work? My wrist is just inside the M/L range at just over 202mm. I wouldn't want it tight or loose. Shame there is nowhere I can go and try one.

I see Curry's and John Lewis are doing £50 off the watch. Not Apple, though.

I still want one. I still don't need one. Today I tried one on when in Currys/PCW. The straps are not the easiest to do up. Fits nicely. Maybe if the v2 has a better battery life .....

Battery life is just fine. I get two days usage out of my Watch.

I'm just mindful that there is likely (not definite) that there will be a new one in six months, which isn't long to wait. If I needed one, I'd have one. Nice things.

I just ordered an S2 42mm (basic), from Apple. Delivery 3-5 weeks. I've not seen actual stock anywhere.
I see Currys/PCW has discounted the original by £70-ish.

May I suggest starting a new thread for the Series 2?

Moving on. OK, I got a Series 2 (42mm Sport) last Wednesday and am getting used to it. I had no chance of closing the rings that day (I didn't have it long enough for the blue) but achieved that yesterday. It isn't easy when the values to hit are upped to a modest, realistic target from default. It took me a while to fathom out setting distance to miles from km but then I was having a dull couple of hours, not reading the instructions properly <sigh>.
I'm glad it is waterproof. I was in the shower this morning when I realised it was still on. It didn't quite get down to 50% battery during the time I put it on and going to bed. That seems good enough, though it isn't as if I'm chatting to Siri, sending messages or running GPS for any reason.
I had a quick look through the app store and nothing jumped out.
