Just seen the new Google Pixel. Looks more like an iPhone than anything Samsung ever made. It actually looks nice lol. Wonder if Apple will do anything in the courts regarding the likeliness of the phone to its line up. check out appleinsider http://appleinsider.com/articles/16/10/ ... hotographyGary. Oh and it has a 3.5mm headphone jack. So old skool lol.

Hmmm. It does indeed look very much like an iPhone. But it all depends on functionality. It can look good, but will it function?

I can see the rear Touch ID being ok for downloading apps as that's where my finger is when I hold my phone to type. But when I use it for Apple Pay then the rear is a stupid place for it.

Not sure about Google but Apple's touchID isn't actually a recording of your fingerprint it measures the electrical? conductivity or some such terminology. That's why it sometimes doesn't work first time, cold, wet etc.

Plus Apple don't have even that information. It's all held on your device.

I did like the look of the Pixel and was wondering whther it was time to give Android a go, but I got the 7 instead, I just think iOS is better and I prefer Apple's stance on privacy.
Loving the 7, really like it but it was expensive, like all high end phones these days!
As for touch id, I think it's actually quite a good place on the rear, if you hold your phone and just think of where your finger is. Downsides would be when the phone is on a table, you'd always have to pick it up and if you get a case, I assume they have holes in the back?
Touch id on the 7 is way faster than it was on my 6, so that's great!
