My wife has stored ALL of her recipes on her iPad in an app called My Recipes.

Today after the ios11 update she cannot access the app because her iPad tells her that the developer needs to update the app and she needs to contact them but she cannot find any contact details for them.

Thus she cannot get to any of her precious recipes.

Is there any way round this so that my life can get back to being less stressful?

It's been widely publicised that iOS 11 doesn't support older 32 bit apps, only 64 bit apps are allowed unfortunately. Unless you can downgrade to iOS 10 then it doesn't look good to be honest! :(

Better start researching some newer recipe apps I guess?

Or keep them in Notes or Pages. Doesn't help with the current situation though.

When the app was opened in iOS 10, there would have been a warning that it would stop working in iOS 11 unless the developer updated it. I had about half a dozen apps like that and they all gave me warnings when opened.

Downgrading to iOS 10 the only option to be able to use this app again without the developer updating it.

Obviously my wife missed that warning! Now she is faced with losing all of the recipes that she built up over along period of time which is annoying and little sad!

She doesn't really want to downgrade back to iOS 10 so is there ANY way for her to retrieve her recipes other than doing that?

Only way I can see is to downgrade to iOS10, retrieve the recipes and save in another iOS11 compatible app, then upgrade back to iOS 11.

You're going to have to downgrade to iOS 10, save the recipes in some other form & find a new app that will work with iOS 11. Here are a couple of "how to" articles for downgrading.
