But that's the point – "Device shutdown = off mostly It's the "mostly" which can be of concern, but this is an old subject and I think we've just got used to the idea that we're being tracked (for instance) even if the phone in our pocket is OFF (shutdown). Lorimer |

It is an old topic, but... is the phone really sending signals to the cellular towers when shut down? "It's still reporting its presence to the network via occasional Pings." I can understand some circuitry remaining active even when shut down, but signals to the towers? |

No, cell radios are not working when the device is shutdown. |
