Yes, it depends on the level of sophistication you're after. Are you talking about recording a Skype call or just the phone? Put your phone on speakerphone and open a new QuickTime sound recording from a microphone.

"... a microphone" – what microphone? I can of course achieve this with my MBA, but that's clumsy and not always convenient. What I'm wanting to know is... cannot the phone record its own sound waves?

Thanks,

Lorimer

Okay, I was answering from the perspective of not calling from an iPhone but then we are talking about the iPhone / iOS forum aren't we? Sorry I did not clock what you are asking.

I believe there are apps that will cost to buy, if not use. I'll let lorimer research that. A quick search along the lines of "record iphone conversation". Here's one I prepared earlier ;)

Lougher & Leewave,

Brilliant answers, especially Leewave's – by using Voicemail.

As Lougher suggests, I could have found that, but many thanks for doing it for me. Most appreciative,

Lorimer

When I posted that, I later thought it sounded a bit cheeky but was offline for the night. Flippant was another word. Sorry about that, it was not my intent. I just did a quick search before submitting and picked the top result, Blue Peter style, hence the wink.

Loughor,

There is always room for humour – provided it's not taken the wrong way. Methinks we're often too serious. Your flippancy is absolutely fine.

P.S. What were you doing up at 04:47 (unless you're in a time zone somewhere in East Russia?!).

Lorimer

Glad you took it as intended but even so, well, you know. That was posted at 05:47. Maybe your forum times setting is still BST? Just leave it and you will be right from Sunday, if that is the case.

You've got that the wrong way, it's supposed to be BST now GMT starts at the weekend. You're right though, leave it and it will be right then. :tu:
