Every now and then when I turn my iPhone on, it will display the Low Battery icon with the "Connect to power" instruction. Now, this is strange, as when I turned it off, it had plenty of battery life showing. So, I plug it in to the charger, it powers up, the normal screen appears, and then within a few seconds it's showing the battery life that was displayed before it was switched off. Disconnect from the charger and it carries on as normal. Has anyone else had this? |

Never had or seen it, but could it be a loose connection internally? |

It sounds like your battery is getting old and past its best. If I were you, I would contact Darren at to get a new one for only £25. |

My SE has been grumpy recently and the battery life varying widely. Some days fine and others draining to 50% or lower half way through the day according to the low battery icon. I’ve had similar experiences to you with the battery indicator, all since ios12 which may, of course, be a coincidence. I’m surrendering- my SE is on its way to Darren on Monday for a replacement battery. |

It will behave normally in other aspects but the symptoms are definitely a sign of the battery failing. I have had the same thing myself previously and Apple replaced the iPhone under first year warranty. They would probably replace the battery now. Maybe you should see what warranty Argos gave you. |

And my SE is on its way to Darren. It’s very strange being without a phone. Like being back in the 1980s but with less hair. Oh wait. Twitter, LinkedIn, broadband, iMessage. Maybe not. |

That is Darren's normal service level. Every repair he has done for me has been done on day of receipt and posted back the same day. |

Thanks guys. It's just taken me over an hour to post three repairs, tried three local PO's all of which had long queues out the door, finally found a small local store that has a PO counter. Nightmare! |

May not be the battery then. When it’s charging does the percentage climb as you’d expect? |
