Members of my family send lots of photos via Messages, I can't find a way to copy these to Photos on my MBP. Does any one know how to transfer them?

Drag and drop should work as well.

Set up Messages on the MBP and they'll be duplicated across devices. Drag it on the MBP.
Or do a search in DuckDuckGo with the terms save photo from messages iphone and pick any of the results (I'll let you find out how) then AirDrop it to the MBP from Photos.

Long press on the picture in messages, save to photos on the phone. Then plug the phone into the MBP and import to photos.

I’ve been using the ‘PhotoSync’ app for years to send photos between iPhones, iPads to my MacBook, never had an issue with it, works pretty quick too
