I have a morning alarm (via Calendar) that makes a sound but also sends a notification. However, I cannot dismiss the notification unless I either switch apps or relaunch. Tapping outside it does nothing, tapping it opens Calendar which I don't want.

What's the easy way to dismiss it?

Settings>Notifications>Calendar
Turn off.

Does that work?
It won't "dismiss" it; it should not create one in the first place.

Doh! As simple as that...

I plead the fact that I set this up on the Mac where Notifications can be dismissed by clicking on them, whereas the problem is on the iPad. I've now turned them off there and hopefully it's cured.
