Just recently, I've been getting this error from from iTunes when syncing my iPhone.  I generally have 300-400Mb free storage, but even if I only want to sync a 1Mb PDF in Books I'll get a similar message. So, I delete an App of the appropriate size, do the sync and then redownload the App and I still have 300-400Mb of storage left. This has only been happening for the past couple of months. Any ideas why this should be? |

I believe it's because the size needed is more than the size needed, ie space needed to unpack files, space for temp files, space for moving files around, plus space for the download, so when you're cutting it close as you are you\ll eventually be on the wrong side of required free space.

Not when the only thing being synced is a 1Mb PDF. |
