Then got to contacts on the iPad then go to her page and edit there(try iCloud first home second)

Update
I still don't understand Tony's reference to iCloud. However, as mum has managed to FT me she's now listed on the left in FT itself, from where I've sometimes been able to FT her.
But in Contacts, under 'Video' it still only lists Skype so I must launch FT if I want to vidcall her.

What about completely deleting your Mum as a contact and then adding her back again. Contacts may then sort out what is what for each service.
