Is there a way to listen to music or a podcast for a set period of time, and then have the phone turn off? Or the screen turn off?

There is on HomePod - they use iOS so it may work with iPhone. Once the thing is playing, "hey Siri stop playing after xx minutes". Assuming you have Siri active, otherwise obviously not. Worth a go. Sorry if not.

I don't have a HomePod (didn't even know what it is), and won't be spending that kind of money. Thanks.

@MacBiter, BINGO. Context: Sometimes I enjoy listening to a boring podcast as I lay in bed trying to fall asleep. It works a treat. But then the play continues, and the screen remains on. Your link is the solution (to both); the audio stops, and the screen locks. Thanks to both of you.
Now I need to remember to change the timer setting, because I use the timer quite often in "normal" mode (playing a tone).

Ah, but I can use my iPad at night - and the phone at other times that the timer is needed. BINGO.
