16.1 is also available for HomePod. It "adds support for Matter which is a new smart home connectivity standard that enables a wide variety of smart home devices to work together across ecosystems".

External monitor support to extend the display (full screen) is delayed. Only mirrors at the moment. For me, it shows a stretched image, so it fills the external monitor, but looks awful.

A new and very annoying feature with iPadOS 16...
I use iMazing to back up my iPhone and iPad. It has worked seamlessly for a couple of years now. You had to 'Trust' the computer and it would back up every day in the background.
Now with iOS16 I have to input my passcode into the iPhone or iPad every single day to allow the back up to commence. I have asked DigiDNA about it and they have told me it's Apple and it can't be bypassed or disabled.
It now negates any advantage of an automated back up. What a complete pain in the arse.
PS I know you had to previously 'trust' your computer but that was a one-time thing (unless the OS changed).
