Would you like to see how many times members have been thanked? In every post the member makes, it would appear in the left hand side bar under "location".
Either way, you can see how many "thanks" by viewing the member profile page.

I voted 'no' because Defcoms contributions would take up the whole screen

I'm just very thanks-full for this forum, James - and Tony and Mr. Wolf.
I would vote no - but I’m not registered to vote in the UK.

I don't care one way or another. But I couldn't vote that way!

I voted no (which resulted in 50/50!) because I see no reason to have a points system here.

I don't like the idea of being grouped into '2 others' if I didn't get my thanks in 1st or second

Although it serves no real purpose to us lot, it could be a good way of a new member seeing at a glance how reliable another members posts are. A regular post count can be made up of absolute guff but a thanks count can only be made up of other users appreciation of information contributed to the forum.
