I'm re-watching Galaxy Quest for two reasons. First, I watched a "making of" on TV the other day which was interesting and second, I have a new toy that plays Blu rays which had to be tested. Still one of the best films ever (as I have mentioned in here before).

Bigfoot on the Horror channel this afternoon - where would the tears of laughter come from if it wasn't for Asylum flicks? Someone on IMDB wrote that Asylum is given $3 million for each film, which makes you wonder what they do with the $2.9 million they don't spend.

Watched Twins of Evil on 81 tonight for the first time in forty years. The cinematography was great. Distracted me from the ham.

What the heck? Watching Crocodile Dundee on Film 4 and some knobhead has edited out the scene where he grabs the tranvestite's nuts "just to make sure" which means what follows in that scene doesn't make sense, but it was okay to leave in the "you call that a knife?" scene immediately after. And people wonder why every third word I utter begins with f and ends with off.

I've not watched any films for a while but today I watched Free Guy (Disney+).
I liked it. Not two hours of regret like some films turn out to be. Even the obvious sappy ending there would be. I liked the references to other games/franchises. I'd say it is worth watching if you have time and access. Feel free to disagree.

If you like horror then Tucker and Dale vs evil. TBH its a comedy horror, but its a real good movie so watch it.

Having seen the latest James Bond this week, all I can say is that the discussion about who the next Bond is going to be is somewhat pointless.

I watched Shang-Chi on Disney+ and wasn't overly impressed. My son and I were predicting plot points way before they (mostly) happened. Not the best Marvel film in the MCU.

Daytime TV is crap in the run up to the even worse TV scheduling of this weekend and the week after.
Disney+ for me again. This afternoon, Jungle Cruise. A blend of Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones and Jumanji sequels. Harmless action hokum.
Yesterday I watched Raya and the Last Dragon. I like a good computer animated film.

Enjoy both those films. Jungle Cruise was better than I expected.
I watched the first two episodes of Hawkeye last night, really enjoyed them.

I watched The Eternals last night.
I wasn't keen on it but my lad here was and had pestered fr days. I thought it was a bit of a weak premise, even for Marvel. Right at the start, we made some joke-comments about it and not wishing to spoil at this time, one, the big one, was just about bang on. It looks like they are planning a second film. Oh dear.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't actually mind watching it, but it had many predicable plot points.

I watched Dune. It was long and slow but worthwhile. Think of it as binge watching a series without the recaps. I recall it said "part 1" at the start - oh my!.. more to come. It was one of those annoying films with quiet dialogue (so you turn the volume up) followed by blasting music (crikey - too loud - turn it down).
