My Virgin Media Superhub died overnight. Appointment to fix/replace is Wednesday afternoon. Already used 500Mb data today. Wednesday already seems like weeks away.

I'd hate that. The SuperHub3 is pretty rubbish (a VM engineer agreed). Mine is modem only: it does that well enough.

I see we now have to sign into the BBC site to use iPlayer through a browser. While I have no concerns about privacy and whatnot, I just don't want to. It is so infrequent that I want to hear a radio programme that I missed and isn't repeated that I can probably get away with it for now. Luckily no such restrictions apply through VM for TV.

It could be, but then the V6 knows who I am, my details, that I have a TV license and am in the UK. But as you say, we'll see.

iPlayer on Apple TV seems to not require sign in - at this time. I just tested but normally just use the V6.

I travelled an hour to Burrow Mump ( a mini Glastonbury Tor) to photograph it and got home to find all the images were crap due to my camera sensor being full of dust. A lesson learned and now waiting for the postman to deliver a cleaning kit.

Can't the marks be cloned out?

This morning I fired off an angry review to the App Store. The local library service provides/provided e-magazines through Zinio for Libraries to read and which used Safari to make selections. Today it has been changed to a new app RBdigital. Lousy layout, American date formats, can't customise anything - for starters. I'm sure I'll get used to and keep using it, in the same way as having a leg cut off.
It looks like one of those instances where the customer (whoever signed this off) didn't really know what they wanted so took whatever the coders, who didn't themselves use the system, came up with.
I don't care that they may have changed the content back-end provider. It is purely the hideous and unfriendly interface that ticks me off.
I wasn't the first complainant. There are other grumpy buggers.

Got my VM Superhub replaced yesterday. Four days without broadband is like going back in time. Hope it's never repeated.

Did you get your email from Virgin telling you about the £3.99 increase from 1 November.
