My iPhone 8 Plus turned up this morning. It took me an hour to backup the old one and restore via iTunes and all the Watch stuff as well. It is definitely better for my old eyes to read. Seems the passwords and codes all went in correctly. I'll let it charge to 100% then play. I did spot landscape home page while getting this far. |

I have adjusted the few clocks that don't do themselves (and this board, of course) but I have one radio controlled clock that will not update, regardless of what I try. It isn't low battery. It isn't location in the house. An identical one played along. I'll ignore it for now: that'll learn it. Clocks like to be watched (ba-doom-tish). |

 Our radio-controlled bedside clock-radio has updated, but is still three minutes adrift of every other clock and time-display device in the house (Mac, iPhone, PVRs, etc). It's been like that for months but is consistent. Most puzzling - but we've just got used to it. Being retired means you might get up three minutes later but who cares!

In the end, I did a manual set of the last RC clock. That will hold it for now. Tonight, it is just about 21:00 and there have been no little bar-stewards knocking and demanding 'stuff' with menaces. I'll put the lights back on. No no no the lights were on all the time. I would have just firmly declined, without menaces. I'll empty the traps in the morning

Lost half a day's pay sitting at home waiting for my new passport to arrive. On the plus side I can now book my holiday for next year.

Lots of Apple updates for High Sierra, iOS, TV and Watch. I spread them out in case of problems. All now done and dusted and no issues. |
