OK. I know the news isn't new. But I couldn't see a tribute anywhere else here, so here's mine. I tweeted: Space. The final frontier. Neil Armstrong went boldly where no man went before... R.I.P.

1½ hours long, this looks like a very interesting film. Buzz would also like to say something. Good on ya Buzz! Respect! Anyone who actually lived through the moon landing era could not be a moon hoax conspiracy theorist. They went there! Also: JPL voodoo trumps Tinseltown VR.

I had the opportunity to be within touching distance of him at the Wright Brothers 100th anniversary in 2003, and I felt very privileged to be so. RIP

R.I.P Neil Armstrong - a real hero, who will be sadly missed.
My Dad had similar Quadruple heart bypass surgery 4 months ago and suffered complications but luckily the Doctors and nurses did a great job and we have him home and well on the road to recovery.

There is another excellent film about NASA's space program called "In the Shadow of the Moon" made with original footage and recent intimate interviews with the astronauts themselves. You can find various extracts of it on Youtube, but Channel 4 transmitted the complete film a couple of years ago.

Nice one Capt. DL'ing as we speak. In memory of this astonishing citizen of our tiny planet I am going right now to watch The Right Stuff. I do recommend Neil's book, First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong Read it yonks ago, rather full of highly technical flight information, but the Apollo part is excellent. all downloads have completed

Thanks very much for that Leewave. I certainly don't remember seeing it before. Outstanding.
