The more eagle eyed among you will have noticed an Amazon banner at the bottom of the page and in the menubar at the top.
This is in the hope to raise funds from your normal Amazon purchases toward the running costs of the forum. Amazon donate a small percentage of any sales made by you clicking the link and making a purchase from that session. Any items you buy will not cost you any more than they would normally, so you will be donating with your purchase at no additional cost to you.
So, each time you want to buy from Amazon.co.uk, click through form here!
The Banner is not too unpleasant, but I hope this will help pay the bills. Time will tell. It's pretty likely normal donations will still be needed for the coming year, but if you all buy via our link, you may not need to donate after this year.
My hope is to keep it at the bottom of the page, less in you face there, another "time will tell" thing.
Should any of you prefer to purchase from another Amazon domain (.de, .fr etc), let me know and I'll set up a link to that store.
I may test different banners, maybe one with a search bar.
Feedback below!

Glad to see you looked into this, James. I think I mentioned it to you a while ago from another forums who use it. Like you say, it doesn't cost you any more than a regular Amazon session so if you were going to buy something anyway, why not let these forums benefit, however small that amount is.

So you know, Ad-Block Plus in Firefox is hiding the bottom banner for me (Windows and Mac). I can see the menu bar link so the link is available for use. I do see the bottom one on my iPad so whatever adblock Safari uses (I forget which I installed) isn't very good.

Great idea - a US internet radio station I sometimes use has the same scheme, and benefits from whatever Amazon site you use as long as you click through. I'm sure they are doing fine so I shall switch my allegiance Which reminds me, I have an Amazon gift voucher to spend. I shall keep you in mind...

All I have to remember now is to alternate between the Amazon link here and the one I have for the RNLI with Amazon Looks like I may end up ordering twice as much stuff

Thanks James, goods ordered through Mac4Mac arrived yesterday.
Usually I don't click on adverts that appear on Forums, etc., so wouldn't have thought of clicking on the box at the bottom. Glad you explained.

James Is/would it possible to link our Amazon account's to Mac4Mac like you can do with say Nectar and eBay, that way you would not forget.
