Hi guys! New to forum so sorry if posted in wrong place! I currently have the 12 inch macbook in space grey! Lovely piece of kit but I think I'm needing to upgrade to a macbook pro. Looking at eBay (horrendous selling fees ) to sell my one and then use education program to get the 13" retina pro. Because of fees I'm looking at quite a high price of having to sell! Has anyone had any luck selling elsewhere? Trying to get as much as possible without fees! Any help would be great Thanks Chris

Welcome to the forums, Chris.
Yes, eBay isn't the best place anymore for selling, eBay itself take 10% of your sale price, if you use PayPal they take another 8% and they also take a percentage of your postage/shipping fees.
Have you looked to see if there's a Facebook "Buy, Sell & Swap" group for your local area? This can be a good way to sell as there's no fees to pay and they pick up the goods, or you can deliver locally.
Other online sites to try are Gumtree, Loot.com and Preloved.co.uk - these are just classified ads but allow you to target locally to you.
On the high street, try CEX if there's a store near you, although they tend to rip you off with the prices they offer you and there's no haggling as they have a set price on their system which they won't budge on.

Welcome Chris. I've moved the post to Couch as its a question about selling and the best place to do so.
Good luck with the sale!

Welcome too. What the skipper forgot to mention was, when you want to sell, stick it here: Its like an Egyptian bazaar.

I haven't used Gumtree for a while. ( Not because it is now owed by e£ay)
Always hard to get a good price for pre owned stuff.
