Post subject:  Provincial asking (western) Londoners for advice

I want to take my father to the Imperial war museum. He lives in South Wales so I'll need to drive along the M4. Now in the provinces we don't get too much traffic. In London you do. I'd like to avoid it if I can. Is there a viable way to drive close to the west side of London on a Saturday, park easily and without needing a substantial bank loan then get a train or tube in? I live in the midlands so I'll drive to Wales then London.

Any advice gratefully received.

There is a car park by me and looks cheap https://citipark.co.uk/car-parks/bell-street-london

And on the corner is Edgware road station bakerloo which will take you to Lambeth north and IWM is a 5 min walk.

Looks perfect. Thanks. Saves the drive across town.

When you come in from the M4 follow this route using the north circular and the the A40, might be less traffic being a saturday.
