On Sunday, Brackley - about 10 miles south-east of Banbury - hosts the annual . Last year it an estimated 15,000 turned up from all over the country, doubling the town's population. High Street is closed and used as a display and parade arena. Organisation is first class, visitors' bikes can be left in the park, but they also line many streets and local people even invite riders to park on their drives, and there are "helmet parks" so they don't have to be carted around This year, they are charging £7.50 admission, but all profits go to charity, the main one being local Air Ambulance. Last year a total of £32,500 went to charities. Not bad for a one-day event! You don't have to BE a biker to enjoy the show - it's a real family day out. So what's on round your way this weekend?

Even on Couch I don't think a topic has veered so far so quickly... To redefine the original question, what's happening in your area that the general public might be interested to know about? Events to go to - that kind of thing... Of course, this is not to belittle in any way whatsoever the Commanding Officer's visit
