I have a Victorian Magic Lantern and slides for sale on eBay for which I hope to get upwards of £70.00.
I have received an email from a propspective buyer in Italy asking if I would accept payment by bankers draft in sterling.
The buyer has been a member of eBay since 2007 and has a Feedback score of 135 at 100%.
Should I accept the offer?

I often find that folks who ask such questions don't end up being the winning bidder. If they do win, as long as you see the money in your bank account before you send the item, the most bother will be offering it to the next highest bidder or re-listing the item wouldn't it?

Thanks. Sounds like good advice.

Not only in your account, but available as cleared funds. Until cleared, it can be stopped.

I would insist on using PayPal.

I wish there was a "Thank You" button on posts in this forum!

There was a thank you button on the original free forums server, it was quite nice but only used by a few.
