Looking thru TechRadar, it struck me how little feedback there was to many of the queries. In the computing section, one question was "What laptop should I buy?" - out of 2788 views only 5 people replied. Hardly very helpful and certainly no community spirit.

That was the brilliant thing about MF. Technical questions rarely got ignored even if there wasn't enough information to help. Someone always asked for more info so they could help.
If I posted a technical query it got answered and normally solved.

In the light of some pretty ineffectual moderating over there, perhaps we can all take it in turns to post links to our new forum. On second thoughts, perhaps not. Martin

Things are beginning to happen at Techradar. I got to the forum page a few minutes ago and noticed a new wider layout with a Mac section. The site seems to be up and down atm. Much of the content has been ported over including members post counts.

They are taking the post counts over as well? Crikey. I wonder who will have top post count overall for whole Techradar forum then.

Just tried to go to techradar.com.
Got the following message: 502 Bad Gateway
That went well then.

All our old couch threads are jumbled up with other magazines' chat threads. I thought we were having our own area entirely with all our sections. It really is unwelcoming.

Awful mess up in my humble opinion. That's when you can view the threads without a 502 Bad Gateway screen

I tried to log in, and it kept telling me my user name or password were incorrect. I did put the "mfc_" in front of my name. After several attempts I though, Oh well, just register as a new user. It told me my email address was already in use. Finally resorted to telling it to reset my password. After all that, and finally getting through (no 502 errors) it wasn't worth the bother.
