I had people from Scotland as my neighbors. I remember them telling me that in Scotland the TV Commercials are played at the end of the TV program and not like we do it here in the U.S.. We do it here that the commercials are played during the show.
I would like to know if that is true.
Also I like your names for different names such as
Ads are played less frequently. An hour programme might have a four or five minute break every 15 mins and a half-hour show just one about halfway, give or take. We see the break points in US made shows but don't get the ads.
Pavement - Sidewalk Car boot - Trunk Trump - Fart (not a joke) Trousers - Pants
Our ads are as laugher says less frequent. The ads used to only last for 2 minutes max but since Sky satellite tv was introduced, the commercial break has been lasting longer, they now last unto 5 minutes on terrestrial TV and i've seen ad breaks that last over 6 minutes on satellite/cable tv channels.
The thing is with some TV programmes, i've seen the first ad break after about 25 minutes but then less than 10 minutes later the next ad break comes on.
