The other day the wife and I were watching Premier Soccer. The teams playing (I can't remember the names) One team began with an "B" and the other was along name beginning with a "T".
Anyway one team changed a player and after a while my wife said that he went back in. I told her that I thought they couldn't do that BUT will check with my Soccer know it all's friends in Jolly ole England.
BTW you really have big crowds at those games!!

You are correct. Once a player has been substituted, they stay off the pitch. The only time they go off and back on is if they are injured and require treatment, but they would not be substituted during that time.
Not that it is pertinent, but the only current Premier league teams that fit your letters are Tottenham Hotspur (known as Spurs), Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Apologies to Bournemouth. I did it from memory and as you see, the post time was 05:16, so I was not fully alert.

Lougher: You're right those were the 2 teams Tottenham Hotspur and I think Burnley.
