I am watching the World Cup and Congrats to England. Now I have a few questions and I go to the experts in order to get the answers

When you see a player talking to the referees, how can the ref's understand them or is English spoken?

I notice that when a ball goes out of bounds a player goes to the ball in order to throw it back or kick it back in BUT he doesn't as another player takes his place at times. Why is that?

When a player pushes another player they always seem to throw up their hands. Are they saying "I didn't do anything"

Very interesting as I have been watching soccer for a while now. On our TV they also show some English teams. Thanks

Yes. Ronaldo is a prime example. He's good enough not to but he can't help his cheating nature.

There’s been lots of occasions down the years where I’ve played in teams that haven’t, ermmm, been as ruthless as we were in that first half, and umm, great for everybody at home to see I think how much the players are enjoying their football.

Yeah - British footballers are not known for their speeches!

Nor the pundits for their grammar etc. "He done fantastic" is just one recent example. We know what they mean but it isn't even a regional thing.

Not that I am completely perfect in that regard.

Any deals on TV's this World Cup with money off for every goal England score. Some people might be getting a free TV.

I notice that soccer is really taken seriously in European Countries. After the games the wife and I notice either the long faces or actually crying.
They are true fans of the game. Yes, soccer is taking a hold here. The Galaxy plays about 8 miles from my house but I never went and won't go because there is fighting in the stands at times. specially when the Mexican team plays.
