I’m impressed. Thanks for the links, I’ll be looking into this further, I’ve been wanting a wildlife camera trap for years, this looks relatively easy to make at a reasonable price too

You'll need a bigger battery. My 7000mAh one barely lasts 12 hours.

I’d like to try this as we have foraging wildlife during the night I’d like to photograph. How successful has it been? I’ve never used a Pi so I’d be on a voyage of discovery. If I might ask how much did all the components cost?

This not a DIY project for me but this "There's Wally" robot is powered by a Pi. It will find him in under five seconds.
Where is the fun in that?
