Ive spent the past 30mins searching the web for an answer to a very very simple question but I cant find one! All I want to know is how long does it take to send a parcel from the UK to Australia? The royal mail site says 'from 5 days' but thats about as specific as saying it'll get there at some point! and when youve got a 2yr old expecting a present on her birthday thats not really good enough!
Has anyone ever sent a parcel to Oz? how long does it take (I dont want specifics just a rough idea)?
Cheers

5 Days is a reasonable assumption.
It is hard to narrow it down. It all depends on flights out of the country, which Australian city you are sending it to etc.
I've had stuff get to its destination after 3 days and I have also seen stuff take a week.
If you are sending a card, I would post it at least 5 days prior.

If you send it now and it arrives early then I'm sure Mum or Dad can intercept it and present it on the big day.

Anything time critical or valuable should go by UPS imho. I've found their price for all but the tiniest parcels to be barely more than the Royal Snail but I have had goods arrive from Australia in under 5 days...

What 2 yr old is expecting clothes for a birthday present Might be a bit young to understand, I personally can remember the year I started to get clothes instead of books or toys, might just be me.
