Anyone on Orange signed up to the T Mobile share today and if so is it working for you. Doesn't seem to be working for me, even though Orange tech support tell me everything is ok with my phone.

Yep. I don't think I've been in a situation to use it though, yet (in other words, in a place that has T-Mobile reception but not Orange). A colleague has though. His iPhone started displaying 'Orange and T-Mobile'.
Maybe it'll kick in at the back of a bar or restaurant one of these days!

As Glenn says, I think you need to be in a place where there isn't any Orange mobile reception, and then it should automatically switch over to T Mobile for calls and texts only. According to the Orange FAQ page, once locked into the T Mobile signals, it should then keep checking every 30 minutes for an Orange signal once again, and switch back. That's the theory at least!

Had a text from Orange today to tell me i was in a T Mobile area and using their network for the first time. Looked at screen on phone to see Orange/ T Mobile on it. So can now confirm mine is working.

Nope. Orange is awful in my area so I've just changed over to O2 a couple of weeks ago. I guess it might be better now but out of the 4 phones we have in the house all have moved away from Orange.

I wonder if searching for an Orange signal every 30 minutes would affect the battery life of the phone.
