Hi guys,
My Dad has a late 2009 MacBook (one of the polycarbonate white models). Unfortunately the charger has gone kaput (the power block/Magsafe element). The wire seems to have broken down inside the sheath after many years of wrapping the chord too tightly.
I have trawled eBay and Amazon, online shops (inc. TheBook Yard), but have yet to find one I'm happy with. There are plenty on eBay/Amazon, but I really want to try and avoid those because I don't trust them not to be fake.
Can anybody recommend a good online retailer that are likely to stock a part like this? Or have one themselves that is surplus (I know the latter is unlikely).
Let me know if you do, it'd be greatly appreciated!
Cheers, Dan

I could be way off here but this page () lists MagSafe chargers and which Macs they fit. The 2009 is listed there as using the 60W unit. You can still get the 60W adapter from Apple, or so they say.
