I am selling my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens.
Compared to the zooms most of us use this is a very fast lens.
Handheld natural light shots indoors are easy to get.
Lets's face it, indoors your zoom lens becomes next to useless without a flash...
Also the fast 1.8 aperture means you can throw backgrounds out of focus for really nice portraits. This is a full frame (FX) lens that is fully DX (APS-C) compatible. On a DX Nikon camera it gives the same field of view as a 75mm lens in days gone by so very close to the traditional 85mm portrait standard.
This lens is super sharp with virtually no distortion unlike zooms.
For the price, it's jaw dropping...
Don't take my opinion on this, read Ken Rockwell's review here:
It retails at between £90 from no name online sellers to £109 from the likes of Grays of Westminster.
It is boxed as-new.
Collect from London Docklands for £70 or add £8.50 for courier delivery.
* The lens does not have a built-in AF motor, it is not an AFS lens so it will work in manual focus mode on entry level Nkons like the D40, D40x, D60, D3000, D3100 D5000.
It will only auto focus on the D50, D70, D80, D90, D100, D200, D300, D300s, D700, D7000, D2, D2H. D2x, D3, D3s, D3x
