Yes, quite jolly lot weren't they! When I turn up the volume these days, it's because of age. And ear bleeds from forgetting to pack the earplugs when I'm out working.

Reviving this thread.... Had Brian Matthews' Sounds of the 60s on which reminds us how much great stuff there was back then. It also reminds us that there was truly awful crap that you never wanted to hear the first time round. Since "one man's trash is another's treasure" I'll resist naming names
