Inflation has killed the joke in 1980s' sitcom Just Good Friends where 'lovable rogue' Vince is a mobile ice-cream seller. An American tourist buys a 99 cone, gives him a pound note and gets one penny change. It was funny then because a 99 would have cost only about 25p... And I've just re-read that dinosaur link. It's not often I find something so funny I have to wipe the tears from my eyes... a briliant piece of descriptive writing

Not sure what Google Maps is on, but it's certainly not the "right lines". I've used Eurostar to Brussels and I'm fairly certain we didn't pass the Old Bailey and cross the river near St Paul's... I'm also pretty sure we never did this big loop through Brixton, Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush as in Sunday's offering ...

Build your own Routemaster bus. Part work with parts to build the model. First part comes at just £1.99 - usual price is £8.99 and there are 130 parts. So by my reckoning the whole thing will cost £1161.70p. Not stupid putting it out, perhaps. But anyone who pays that for a miniature bus qualifies for mention here...

And will all the issues actually end up going on sale or will the publishers go bust before it’s complete.
