This article by Apple's Kevin Lynch in MacRumours.com beautifully explains why the Apple Watch will be the most accurate timepiece in any room when checking for the exact second we enter 2016. Even more accurate than the iPhone from which it gets its Bluetooth signal – now that's saying something! http://www.macrumors.com/2015/12/30/app ... e-keeping/Lorimer

I'll still miss Midnight if I fall asleep in front of the tv.

Doesn't the iWatch have an alarm system ? Happy New Year on and all. No more bombing in 2016 everyone

The Watch does but I don't know about the iWatch as Apple don't make a product called that

Yes, and I'll set it. I'll be out Scottish Country Dancing – an energetic way to end the year. The alarm will ensure we don't get stuck in the Eightsome and miss it!

... And yes, we're talking about an Apple Watch of course!

I happened to watch a video by Louis Phillippe the other day, showing how they built their watches. I thought – "No wonder they cost £2,000, £3,000, £6,000." In the light of this, £330 for an Apple Watch is not bad value. The watch certainly does grab attention; the usual comment is "How beautiful!"
But down at the other end of the scale, it is astonishing what good value one can get for £20 – or even £11.50. I know some people own half a dozen watches, but since you only have two wrists I've always thought that to be rather pointless. The fashion-conscious must find it handy being able to snap on an Apple bracelet which matches their dress/lipstick/pooch/handbag for a night out though.

I recently (last week) had my eyes opened up to the beauty of the inner workings of a mechanical watch. I found very fascinating (despite the annoying narrator, and it's a bit old). Some of the watches it shows make a £6000 timepiece seem very good value!
