Apart from Gary, all the responses seem to be from people in England. As someone born in Scotland but now living in England, I can see why Scots are angry at being prevented from getting what they wanted - an independent country that could make its own choices on what was best for their nation. Apart from that, let's not allow any bitterness over the result to get personal and ruin the good name of this forum. Please!

I'm in Wales Not Welsh (if that makes a difference). I personally think that it was expected that Remain would win so it must feel like a double disappointment for supporters. I know my daughter (in London) is somewhat irked. It is a shame that Farage wants to take credit although he had nothing to do with official campaigns. Now the UK has voted, he should pack it in and get on with killing his liver and lungs.

So basically if you dont get the result you want, petition the government until you do. When you get what you want, that means the other side lose. They then petition until they get what they want, that means the other side lose. They then petition until they get what they want, that means the other side lose. They then petition until they get what they want, that means the other side lose. They then petition until they get what they want, that means the other side lose. They then petition until they get what they want, that means the other side lose. They then petition until they get what they want, that means the other side lose.
You see where this leads too.

As I pointed out on the appleinsider comments section of an article on the EU and apple. what if NY state voted for Hillary and but the Donald won the presidency. Should NY state then vote to leave the USA ?. The 4 home nations could be seen as the equivalent of the 50 US states.

''There will be no loyalty, except loyalty towards the Party. There will be no love, except the love of Big Brother. There will be no laughter, except the laugh of triumph over a defeated enemy. There will be no art, no literature, no science. When we are omnipotent we shall have no more need of science. There will be no distinction between beauty and ugliness. There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always—do not forget this, Winston—always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever.''
George Orwell - 1984
