I see that there are quite a few alternate keyboards being offered for iOS devices.
Since I don't feel like trying them all out – with the possible disaster involved in that process – I ask: is anyone using one of these alternates? In other words, has anyone found a better keyboard than the one Apple provides? And one that "plays nice" with iOS?
I realize that, if the app supports it, I can rotate the device to landscape mode – and the keyboard is expanded. That, of course, helps.

Are you talking about hardware or software keyboards?
If software, the native one gets an upgrade with iOS 11, including drag down for characters. I like it a lot.

Software.
Great. I hadn't thought about iOS 11 having a revamped/improved one. I can wait.

I've used SwiftKey but didn't particularly get on with the swipe idea but it worked well enough.

Thanks, Chris.
SwiftKey is one of the ones that got my attention earlier. Using landscape mode with a (hopefully) improved keyboard with iOS 11 is what I'll try next.
